For week 1 I had to take my Game Design Document and scope it down, so I could make it a playable experience for this course. I was unable to scope the game that I had made in the document so I decided to make a new game. I decided to make a Racing game. I got to work and I started a new project using Unreal Engine 5.1. I used the Vehicle template which created the car and a level to drive around in. The project already had all of the movement controls and they just needed some tweaking. E.g. The handling of the car as it was very stiff so I decided to change the values of the Slip Threshold as well as the turning angle.

In week 1 I also used Trello to help me map out my ideas and help me understand how to scope the idea. I made a bunch of cards that helped me track my progress of what elements of my game are completed and what elements are next.
