For my task in second semester in Games Design at Ulster University we were tasked to make a level using a pre-existing project that has mechanics similar to Uncharted. 

My level takes the player through a cliffside, and then moves into a forest that it connected to a Asylum that has been taken over by a gang. The player must survive and get in a helicopter to win.

I worked on this project as a solo developer.

My current Responsibilities and Contributions on this project:​

  • Developed and iterated on level

  • Made level sequences 

  • Made cutscenes 

  • Decorated level 

  • Added level streaming 

Pre-Production

I had looked at other games that follow a linear path that has some large open areas to explore. The games i looked at were Uncharted 4, The Last of Us, Halo 3, God of War (2018), and Batman Arkham Asylum. I looked at all the techniques oh how they guide the player, create weenies, and how they decorate their levels.
